Abstract: 

In the article the author presents an argument against the convergence of historical epistemology with relativism and defend the independence of epistemic objects’ cognitive value from their socio-cultural genesis. The author make an assumption of the possibility of realization of historical epistemology as a project of search for the epistemological universals.
